Here is a old shopping street named Kajiyamati. This is in seaside from Kishiwada station. It takes about 15minutes on foot. I have to turn many corners from a main rode that conacts Kisiwada station to a big modern shopping mall at bay side.
ここ「かじやまち商店街」は岸和田駅から歩いて約１５分、岸和田駅とベイサイドのショッピングセンターを結ぶ道路から曲がり道の角をひとつ、ふたつ、みっつと曲ったところにあります。
There are many shops in this street,
a uniform shop, you can buy all of uniform at schools in Kishiwada-city,
a Maturi's instrument work shop and store, you can buy japanese instruments that use for japanese festival,
a cosmetic shop, the shop has good smell that I smelled a long time ago in front of grandmother's gressing table.
The street was famous for a lot of Kimono-shops in there. In my grandmother's age, shopping Kimono in this street is a kind of status in my region.
町の学校の制服が何でもそろう服屋、古めかしいちょうちんの点いた祭りの鳴り物屋、祖母の化粧台で嗅いだ覚えのある良い香りのする化粧品店などが曲り角の多い通り沿いに並んでいます。ここは呉服屋さんの多い通りとしても有名です。
祖母の時代、泉州では嫁入り時などにここにきて呉服を買うことがちょっとしたステータスだったそうです。
There are a few Kimono shop in this street now.One of them,Kimono and Cafe INABAYA has remodeled a old kimono shop that building constructed a hundred years ago.
I have exhibitions twith a year in the shop and a japanese old warehouse called Kura[蔵].
今でもガラスケースの中に古風な大柄の帯が飾られた店や古めかしいけやき彫りの大看板をあげた呉服屋さんが数件あります。
１００年前に建てられた呉服屋さんを改装した「きものとかふぇ いなばや」では、年二回商店街のお祭りに合わせて「きものとかふぇ いなばや 佐ノ川谷藍子 器展」を開催しています。
